Moody's ESG and Climate Risk Solutions Group is looking for a Senior Product Designer or Visual Designer to join a team working on products for the financial industry. A successful candidate will be a detail-oriented, collaborative team player, comfortable with the complex, and adaptable in the face of change. You should possess an appetite for designing for data, and demonstrate experience working within a design team translating complex requirements into clear design solutions. This role reports to UX, as part of a larger Product organization.
Co-creating and managing our design system, in support of multiple products with diverse business needs and end user requirements
Helping to drive partnership and communication with development teams for platform design
Contributing to UI design for interactive applications and production design in support of the development and go-to-market process
Collaborating and adapting in a quickly shifting business environment, working effectively as a designer in a global and highly cross-functional organization
UI and Visual Design for desktop or web applications
Ability to prioritize and manage workload and deadlines, with an appropriate sense of urgency
Comfortable discussing design rationale with other designers, and comfortable thinking in code, when working with developers
Able to work independently, but with a preference for being part of a team
Expert skill with the standard suite of design tools
A growth mindset
4-7 years of experience in design for desktop or web applications
Work samples that demonstrate a sense of design principles and process
Work experience as a designer for enterprise applications or in complex domains (Finance, Health Care, Insurance, etc)
Background in Visual Arts or Graphic Design; experience in Industrial Design, Architecture, HCI, or other research-based design field, a plus
A strong desire to learn about and contribute to ESG and Climate-related applications for the financial services community
