Department PSYCHIATRY (IN-PSYC-IUINA) Job Summary The Public Relations Assistant will provide support to the HANDS in Autism(r) Center by coordinating the design and development of instructional materials for the use of web-based and distance learning methods to improve training and education of HANDS consumers locally and increasing globally. Provides administrative support for the university's public relations function and overall advancement of the university's reputation, goals, and objectives, including strategic communications, media relations and public representation, and external outreach and partnerships with state and local communities in economic, social, cultural, and leadership development. Work may include additional duties in support of other functions or administrative needs. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED and four years of experience in a relevant field. Proficient communication skills. Maintains a high degree of professionalism. Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills. Demonstrates a high commitment to quality. Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Highly thorough and dependable. Possesses a high degree of initiative. Ability to build strong customer relationships. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with design programs, social media, and websites. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in media, graphics, instructional design, or a related field and one year of previous related experience.
