We are looking for a Public Relations Analyst with a passion for corporate social responsibility, consumer, lifestyle, entertainment and technology to be a part of a dynamic communications team creating 360 strategies in support of Verizon’s marketing initiatives with an emphasis on corporate social responsibility. Our projects span across responsible business initiatives and touch on partnerships in the sports, music, entertainment and gaming industries, advertising and branding, technology and executive thought leadership.
Help create and execute 360 integrated communications plans that integrate across the CMO organization (PR, marketing, social, brand) to drive business objectives.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with influential audiences including responsible business, consumer, lifestyle, marketing trade, business, entertainment and tech press, and a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Partner with communications agencies to create and execute plans that drive business results.
Develop communication tools – press releases, key messages, FAQs, etc.
Work with talent and personal publicists to ensure partners are appropriately sharing Verizon’s messages.
Serve as communications counsel to marketing senior leadership, i.e. Chief Corporate Social Responsibility Officer, Chief Media Officer, Chief Creative Officer and Head of Brand.
What we’re looking for...
To be eligible for this role, you must be a current participant of the Adfellows program.
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
Current participation in the Adfellows program.
Willingness to travel.
Even better if you have:
Knowledge within the music, gaming and sports industries.
Understanding of the media landscape and shifting news cycles.
Knowledge of media relations and social media platforms and how to use them to drive earned media and conversation.
Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and delivering quality consistently.
Effective communicator at all levels of the organization.
Proven track record of creative ideas that go beyond traditional PR tactics to drive business goals.
Experience creating and implementing PR and media relations strategies.
