MBL, Inc. is searching for a full-time Designer/Landscape Architect3+ years of experience in professional design, production, project management, construction observation, and client contact. (Applicants must provide a portfolio illustrating their knowledge of landscape design)
Our ideal candidate will have a general knowledge of design-build and or construction experience, and should be able to meet with both builders, subcontractors and homeowners during all phases of design and installation. Being detail-oriented, self-motivated, meet deadlines, and track / manage their own time is essential for this role.
Our ideal candidate should also have a general knowledge of planting design theory, and should be comfortable setting / running design review meetings with both commercial & residential clients.
Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited University.
Have excellent design skills
Have outstanding design graphic skills (both hand drawing & computer graphics)
General knowledge of and have experience with construction methodologies and implementation
General planting palette knowledge, unique to our region
Capability of working with design teams and consultants through all parts of the design phase (concept-construction)
Capability of working with the design lead on setting internal deadlines and meeting said internal deadlines (time management)
Be able to prepare CD sets including hardscape, planting, landscape lighting, water features, construction details, and preparation of specification and bidding packages.
Proficiency in AutoCAD (2+ years), LandFX, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office.
