The Department of Public Relations in the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications (CJC) invites applications for a full-time (nine- or twelve-month) public relations lecturer position to begin in summer or fall semester 2023.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in public relations. The faculty member may teach and supervise graduate students. Candidates will mentor undergraduate and graduate students, engage in governance and other service activities, and demonstrate interest in contributing to online education, diversity, and the internationalization of the college and university.

Job Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree or higher in public relations, communications or a related field is required.
Applicants must have at least 5 years of professional communications experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in public relations, communications or related field.
A senior executive with at least 10 years of professional communications experience.
Evidence of effective guiding and coaching students in a classroom environment.
Experience in areas relevant to the department including sports communication, corporate communication, or public interest communication.
