The curator extracts, formats, organizes, consolidates data, and describes the data with standard annotation protocols and vocabularies. Uploads data into a database, ensures the data captured is accurate, reliable, reusable, and accessible which enables powerful queries.
Ensures best practices, consistency, and well-articulated standard operating procedures in the cataloging/curation of mission data assets. Conducts independent research of scientific literature and other available research to add content to the database and identify upcoming research opportunities.
Disseminates the knowledge to research communities, such as cancer research, pediatric research, and/or maternal research.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in scientific field preferably biology or pharmacology training and one year of related experience, or combination of relevant experience. Research experience. Data entry experience and exposure to working with large data sets. Microsoft skills required and detailed writing skills. Requires successful completion of a background check; Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
