Description
The Director of Marketing and Public Relations will drive the voice and vision of Bay College, bringing its mission to life through strategic, innovative, and impactful communications. This position shapes and champions the college’s identity, reaching and resonating with audiences from prospective students to community stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing, public relations, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
Ability to effectively communicate, orally and in writing, with diverse audiences, in a professional manner.
Proficiency in standard office software applications and ability to learn new software as need arises.
Working knowledge of graphic design and digital imaging software.
Demonstrated effectiveness in organization and project management.
Ability to prioritize marketing and communications requests accordingly.
Ability to work independently with close attention to detail.
Ability to effectively schedule time on task and maintain effective communications with college staff while operating with a high degree of autonomy.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in public relations, marketing, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.
Strong organizational and leadership abilities, experience managing a diverse team, and excellent problem-solving skills for navigating complex public-facing situations
