To strengthen and safeguard UAB's brand as a part of the Public Relations (PR) team through strategic content creation, management, and media relations, ensuring proactive and responsive communication.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Develops content ideas and creates materials such as news releases, feature articles, newsletters, and promotional assets for internal and external audiences.
* Ensures clear communication of key messages while maintaining adherence to style guidelines.
* Curates and manages media lists while coordinating proactive and reactive media efforts to enhance UAB's visibility and representation across national, regional, trade, and local news outlets.
* Identifies and implements the most effective channels and distribution methods to maximize reach, engagement, and impact.
* Plans and executes PR events, including press conferences, to enhance media engagement and brand visibility.
* Represents the institution as a spokesperson, managing official communications and media relations to uphold its reputation and strategic messaging.
* Collaborates within the PR team to manage sensitive issues, facilitating and coordinating effective internal and external communications during crises and emergencies.
* Coordinates with Marketing and Communications teams and key stakeholders to ensure alignment between central and distributed PR efforts with institutional messaging and objectives.
* Compiles and analyzes relevant data to generate reports while staying informed on current trends and developments in the field.
* Perform other duties as assigned

Salary Range : $47,665 - $61,965.

Bachelors degree in communication, journalism, public relations or a related field. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
