Description: The Department of Human Sciences and Design at Baylor University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in Interior Design. We seek a candidate committed to enhancing the field through scholarly contribution and successful teaching.
The anticipated date of appointment is August 2025.
Responsibilities for the individual who holds this position include establishing and maintaining a program of research and/or creative scholarship; seeking funds to support scholarship; teaching undergraduate courses in interior design; mentoring students; and engaging in professional, community, and university service.

Qualifications:
A terminal degree in Interior Design or a closely-related discipline (e.g., Architecture) is required by the start of the appointment (ABD candidates with planned completion dates before the start of this position may also be considered).
A clear research agenda or creative scholarship focus is required, evident through diverse indicators of success, such as obtaining funding, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and garnering awards and recognition in support of their work.
A history of, or potential for, successful undergraduate teaching is required.
