JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Ophthalmic Photographer to perform a variety of skilled duties associated with the operation of specialized equipment to assist physicians in the examination and treatment of diseases of the eye. Perform multiple ophthalmic imaging procedures including but not limited to color fundus photography, optical coherence tomography, slit lamp photography and basic ultrasonography.
This position will train entry level photographers on digital fluorescein/ICG angiography (including performing IV injections and related patient care) and other modalities as dictated by clinic need.
JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Work requires an educational background generally equivalent to a high school education.
One year of work-related experience in ophthalmic imaging is required.
Basic ophthalmic imaging experience is preferred.
Basic Phlebotomy experience preferred.
Phlebotomy certification within 6 months of employment.
Able to independently seek out resources and work collaboratively
Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Able to communicate clearly with patients, families, visitors, healthcare team, physicians, administrators, leadership and others
Able to record activities, document assessments, plan of care, interventions, evaluation and re-evaluation of patient status
Able to use computer and learn new software programs
Able to withstand prolonged standing and walking
Working knowledge of infection control procedures and safety precautions
Willingness to adapt to high pace and fast changing situations.
JOB HOURS
The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
